For actual discussion, go to the game's subreddit, or the website/forum of the game, if it has one.

For me, it's Dwarf Fortress. /v/ has a complete aneurism due to the intense insecurity about female dwarves having beards or whatever. /v/ has massive gender identity issues. Also /v/ has a bunch of retards that think the Steam version is somehow a bad thing.

It's pretty much impossible to talk about any games on /v/. It's an off-topic board. I never use it for genuine vidya discussion. It's 'for the lulz' and porn and news headlines. I hear about a lot of games here, because I don't actually browse reddit. I go to targeted game-specific subreddits. I use /v/ for 'news' and finding random games.
